Special programs are organized for children throughout the year. They offer a variety of activities such as storytime, arts and crafts, or theater. See photos of past programs on our Children's Events web album.
A major event every year is the Readathon. See the results of Readathon 2008.

Storytelling
For Children 3-7 years old, every Saturday morning at 10:30AM (all year round)
Kids, bring your mum and dad along to the Library, settle into a comfy beanbag and listen to our volunteers read stories to you in English. Afterwards there are art and craft activities for you to do or you can sit with mum and dad and browse through our large collection of picture books and easy reader.
School Visits
(By arrangement).
Kinder, Lower Elementary Schools. We take your students on a tour of the Library and entertain them with storytelling and art/craft activities. Afterwards, stay and browse through our large collection of children's books or enjoy a sandwich from our school lunchbox specially prepared by the Library's Roadhouse Café.
Upper Elementary, Secondary Schools. Students will enjoy a tour of the Library and learn how books are catalogued. A simple treasure hunt will test their skills in searching for books in our collection.
Sleep over at the Library
School groups or clubs, children 9-12 years old. (By arrangement).
Teachers, bring your students and sleeping bags to the Library. We'll have dinner together then enjoy a host of fun activities before lights our. Eat a light breakfast the next morning before it's time to say goodbye and head off home.
